Daniel T. can do incredible things with maths and languages. He knows 9 languages an can learn a new one in a week. He demonstrated that her could recite pi to 22500 places, in a stunning public performance which lasted over 4 hours. This 44 minute video demonstrates his amazing abilities.

Loft cube

A German company has come up with superb idea for 21st century living, called the Loft Cube. It’s a complete ready-made penthouse which can lifted by crane onto the top of any existing flat-topped building. The 55 sq. m 1-bedroom luxury living machine, has every thing built-in and costs 144,000 euro. The architects say it can be installed in 2 to 4 days. My Brain Made Me Buy It

shoes (cc porcelain_girl)You could say that half the world’s population are addicted to shopping (i.e. women), however recent research has shown that the brain chemistry of spenders compared to non-spenders is significantly different just before the purchase. A group of economists and psychologists found that although the cost and desire are important factors in the decision to buy, it turns out that certain people are addicted to the excitement and the high from buying, and it can be the greatest deciding factor. So it seems, the next time your significant other arrives in with yet another pair of new shoes, just remember, it was an unconscious decision which she had no control over. Last year Radiohead released a digital download album on the Net and asked their fans to pay what they thought it was worth, effectively reinventing the music industry. They don’t have a label so of course they were free to do as they please, and this is one experiment which didn’t work. Now six or seven months later they’re putting this genie back in the bottle, and Thom Yorke said recently that they’d be un-inventing the music industry and going back to the traditional sales model. They claim no babies have ever been injured and that the babies are actually stronger for it. I guess this is a practical example of “if it doesn’t kill you, it makes you stronger” !!
