“What a wonderful world it will be, what a glorious time to be free” words from a track by Steely Dan about what the future holds, and thats what Jo Causon from the Chartered Management Institute on its study on the future of work is forecasting.The report on the nature of employment in 2018 predicts a dramatic change in the traditional workplace leading to significantly more people working from home or working from other locations virtually.”Work life balance” will be replaced by “work life integration” and as the technology allows it personal holograms will be used to attending meetings, avoiding extensive travel. |
